i became a flower magician, long before i started honey honey.
see, i didn’t find the flower remedies, they found me.
it was the middle of the night, years and years ago, that i asked the universe to reveal to me my life’s purpose.
it felt like a long shot, to ask for something so big on a night so mundane. i was prepared to wait. to search. to go on a journey that would take me years.
turns out, it would take only days for the universe to lift that particular veil.
the answer was sent to me through an energy healer first. she told me about flower medicine.
that conversation opened the door. suddenly flower remedies were all around me — everywhere the signs were pointing me to them.
when i received a strange email from a company i had never heard of before, that offered a course to become a bach therapist, i knew this was it.
my purpose.
over the next years, i dove in headfirst. i did all the courses available to me — from the official ones, from the bach centre itself, to the not so official ones, from everywhere else.
i read all the books, about the flowers, about the doctor who invented them, the people who came after.
i practiced & honed my craft for years, making remedies for friends and family, their children, their pets. it was sacred to me, almost holy, the way i would pour over books, texts, obscure websites, to create the elixir that would help and heal them.
it never even crossed my mind to start a business.
there came a point when i didn’t have to look up ingredients anymore, when i would speak to strangers and know what flowers they could benefit from.
flower remedies are a language and only when i became fluent, did i become the flower magician.
even then, it would still take a long time for honey honey to happen. people ask me, “don’t you wish you started the business earlier?”
no.
never.
when i started i was in full bloom, confident in my knowledge with years of practice under my belt. i had made the mistakes, before honey honey. i had enjoyed the success stories, before honey honey. i didn’t need it, it needed me.
honey honey made me an entrepreneur, but i was a flower magician long before she came along.
